Keeping An Open Door
How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty! Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. ⏤ Psalm 84:1, 10
For this, Jesus laid down his life. The temple curtain was torn. A door was opened that no one can shut. The city gates are never closed.
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life. (Rev. 22:17)
Brackish
Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? — James 3:11
James's question is metaphorical. Can blessing and cursing come from the same mouth? Maybe the unexpected answer is yes if the spring is contaminated. And salty water is deadly to drink.
Filtering what comes out is harder work than monitoring what goes in. We're told, "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." (Prov. 4:23)
Sneeze
Some, like Alan Hirsch, have compared disciple-making to a sneeze. When the explosive message that Jesus is Lord reaches the right host, Kingdom life can take hold and maybe spread virally. It helps when people's resistance is low and they haven't been inoculated with a false gospel.

The God of the Bible looks like Jesus, the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being. It would be just like him to go to the cross.
